My uncle Buddy was the fun uncle. He always had time to play, listen and in my case he even took the time to pray for me and my young family. He encouraged me in bringing my children up to love Jesus. He was always so pleasant to everyone and I never heard him speak a bad word about anyone. His love for Jesus was evident in everything he did. I am the oldest of his great grand nieces. His legacy of love and service to Our Lord and Savior is what I can hope to emulate in my own life. Just last week my mom, Dianne (Holmes) Parker, and I were talking about Uncle Buddy and why God has given him so much time and I was telling her I believe God keeps us on this earth as long as he has work for us to do and when that work is finished he takes his Saints home. She told me that Uncle Buddy was sharing Jesus's plan of salvation there with others at the nursing home and that God had a reason for having him there. I know our Lord and Savior greeted him and said "Well done, my good and faithful servant". He will be missed but his legacy lives in all the lives of those he touched.
