William Preston Harbour's Obituary
William Preston Harbour, of Marietta, passed away surrounded by his family on May 7, 2026. He was 79 years old.
Preston was born in Collinsville, AL, to William and Sarah Harbour in 1946. Preston attended and graduated from Osborne High School in 1965. He later joined the Air Force, where he honorably served in Vietnam loading aircrafts. Preston worked many years in sales and management in the forklift industry, where he eventually retired in 2018. Before that, Preston owned his own landscaping business, which is where he found his passion for landscape design. Preston loved spending time with his family and friends, vacationing in Hilton Head, and being everyone's handyman and go-to for all things plants.
Preston is preceded in death by his parents, William Harbour and Sarah Barkley Harbour.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Carol Harbour; children, Rhonda (John) Calhoun, Misti (Bobbie) Willingham, and Casey (Christy) Hall; grandchildren, Mark (Kellie) Calhoun, Heather (David) Chapman, Kylie (Josh) Sisk, Macy Willingham, Chase Hall; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Lavonne (Greg) Entsminger; and nieces Kristi and Tracy.
They were also very blessed to have many amazing friends in their lives.
Preston will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 3:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Dr. Kevin Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 3:00 PM before the service.
