William Curtis Farmer's Obituary
William Curtis Farmer passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025
William answered the call to serve his country at a young age. He enlisted in the United States Navy, where he distinguished himself as a member of the Special Forces.
After his service, William channeled his energy into pursuits that reflected his curiosity and love of history. He became a devoted collector—of coins, vintage dollars, rare comic books, historic firearms, and knives, each item a small story held in his careful hands.
When he wasn’t adding to his collections, William was most likely watching a classic horror film, reading a gripping thriller, or diving into the latest Marvel release.
William was a quiet thinker and a loyal friend, with a sharp wit, a big heart, and a deep sense of integrity. Whether he was recommending a great read, showing off a new coin, or retelling the plot of a movie you had to see, his joy was always in sharing what he loved with the people he loved.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kate Lyon Farmer.
William is survived by his sister, Willie Jeanette McCain and brother, Donald Roy Farmer along with many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Farren Roper officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 12:00-2:00PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Must Ministries in William’s memory at www.mustministries.org/give-help
