William Buford Ellis' Obituary
William Buford Ellis, age 84, of Mableton passed away October 26, 2020. William proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict, where he was stationed aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard. After his military service, he went on to work many places, and retired from AT&T after 25 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening. William was a beloved husband, father, and brother that will be dearly missed.
William was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Lamar Ellis. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edna Lucille Ellis; sons, Timothy Scott Ellis of Lithia Springs, and Jeffery Todd Ellis of Mableton, siblings, Willard Gene Ellis (wife, Nancy), Charles Lee Ellis, and Jewel Juanita Ellis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27th, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Phillip Young officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
