William Stephen "Steve" Davis' Obituary
William Stephen “Steve” Davis, age 78, of Mableton passed away surrounded by his family on January 22, 2024. Steve was born to Homer Marion Davis and Ira Estelle Davis in Atlanta, and spent most of his life in the Mableton area. Steve was a long-time member and deacon of Friendship Baptist Church, Austell.
For many years, Steve worked as a skilled carpenter and owned his own business, Southern Comfort Builders, which built restaurant interiors. His family recalls his talent and how he was able to make anything he put his mind to. Steve was a very loving and giving person, always willing to lend a hand when needed. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend to many and will be deeply missed.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Ann Davis; son, William Stephen “Steve” Davis, Jr.; and many brothers and sisters. He is survived by his grandson, Stefan Davis and wife, Tania of Loganville; great-grandchild, Georgia; sister, Gayle Little and husband, Bobby of Villa Rica; and many beloved extended family and friends.
A funeral service honoring Steve’s life will be held Friday, January 26th, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Pastor Charlie Jones officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 AM before the service.
