Walter George Smith, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Walter George Smith, Jr, age 79 of Mableton, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Mr. Smith retired from cabinet making. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, George and Peggy Smith of Mableton; daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Bill Jordan of Euharlee, Wendy Whitfield and Randall Strozier of Acworth; six grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Clyde Carlton Smith; and sister Mary Alice Riddle. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Davis-Struempf Chapel with officiants Rev. Chris Massengill and Rev. Randall Strickland. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
