My first memory of Mrs. Massengale, was at South Cobb when I met Gail. She was so friendly and was always just like one of the girls. Everyone knew Gail's mother!! I always loved spending the night with Gail because her mother was so much fun and always made my stay so special. Since moving to Florida I have not seen her but will always have great memories of a mother and grandmother everyone would love to have. I would like to be there but living in Florida makes it impossible now..I remember the grandkids calling her MiMi so my grandsons call me Mimi now...

I first knew Virginia from going to school with Gail. Then, when I started teaching
at Lindley Jr. High in 1969, Virginia was
one of the main subs there. Though I
haven't seen her in forty years, I still
remember vividly the the way she lit up
whichever room she chose to walk into.
Simply, she was just one of the special
human beings. Odd that though the light
has go out now, the glow will be with us
