Virginia Caroline Campbell's Obituary
Campbell, Virginia Caroline, age 80, of Powder Springs went to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born the daughter of a coal miner in Melborn, W. VA. And known to all those who loved her as “Ginny”, she was adventurous, generous, steadfast in her faith and stubborn. During her tenure here on earth, she worked for the FBI, City of Austell and ultimately retired from Lockheed-Martin. Ginny had a benevolent heart, always thinking of and helping those in need. She loved her church, and her church family, and they loved her. She was the “church custodian’ (as she was so affectionately referred to), for 10 years. This was her service to her Lord whom she loved with all her heart and never failed to mention His blessings that were bestowed upon her through life. She was a kind and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. While she rejoices with her Heavenly family, all of those who have gone before her, she leaves here on earth to cherish her life’s memories, her daughters, Sharon (Don Bowen) Bragg and Teresa Campbell; Grandchildren, Joshua Armstrong, Lonnie Shelton, Christie Fowler, Joe Goff, Syresa Goff; and eight Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 18, 2015 at Midway Christian Church, Austell with Rev. Phil Holder officiating, with a lie in state at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday November 17, 2015 at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. Arrangements are with Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Homestead Hospice: 10888 Crabapple Rd Roswell, GA 30075 http://www.homesteadhospice.net/
