Vincent "Vinnie" Moe's Obituary
Vincent Moe, known to his family and friends as Vinnie, passed away Monday, November 23rd at his home in Mableton, GA. He is survived by his mother, Tamera “Tammy” Moe, his Aunt, Taresa Gilbert, his cousins (brother and sister) Arilyn and Nathaniel Gilbert, his Granny—Helen Killion, his dog Leo, and too many relatives to list by name.
He made friends easily and was loved by many. His laugh was contagious as was his generosity. Vincent would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Anyone who knew him, knew he loved Chinese and Seafood (especially crab cakes and crab legs). He could and did eat people under the table. Lol
Vincent’s love of the Renaissance, Knights, Science Fiction, History of Fort Matanzas in St. Augustine, FL was impressive. His love of Anime and DragonCon led him to be a part of the Halloween attraction, Containment, and a new business he created with his friends Andrew and Sid called ConFaction.
He loved God and was active in the church since he was a kid until the day he left. Even though his struggle with alcohol was overwhelming, he overcame childhood cancer and escaped several life-threatening circumstances throughout his life.
Vinnie will be dearly missed, but now he is in a better place. His ashes will be spread at Fort Matanzas in St. Augustine, FL after the pandemic.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 2nd, 3:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Father Gary Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM before the service.
In keeping with current precautions due to COVID-19, we are requesting that anyone visiting wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
