Victor Wayne Gary, age 64, of Powder Springs, Ga. passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Mr. Gary was born to Ray Gary, Sr. and Hazel Gary on March 1, 1955 in Atlanta, Ga. He was the youngest of three children. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Keegan Gary (Jennifer) of Acworth, brother, Ray Gary, Jr. (Nancy) of Acworth and sister, Ginger Cheryl Marvin (Dave) of San Jose, California and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In his childhood years he lived in the Grove Park community until his family moved to Cobb County. Mr. Gary graduated from South Cobb High School in 1973 where he excelled in football and wrestling. He received his accounting degree from Kennesaw State University. He was a CPA and retired from the State of Georgia Department of Revenue as a Senior Supervisor. He was a lifelong member of Bethany Methodist Church and did volunteer work for the church each year at the Cobb County Fair. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing recreational sports with his older brother, Ray. He also enjoyed attending sporting events which included high school, college and professional sports. Mr. Gary led his life with the highest ethics and honesty in all of his endeavors. When his parents became elderly and needed assistance, he willingly left his own home and moved in with them to help meet their needs.
