Vicki Lynn Dixon's Obituary
Vicki Lynn Dixon (née Weathers) passed away on June 26, 2024, in Smyrna, Georgia, after a long battle with COPD. She leaves behind a legacy of honesty, humor, and unconditional love for her family and those who knew her. Vicki was born on October 13, 1954, to Joyce Amarylis Holland (née Easterwood) and Wallace Weathers, and she grew up with her brothers Tony and Michael, and the memory of her brother Ricky, whose death at the age of three predeceased Vicki's birth.
Vicki was predeceased by her mother, Joyce Holland (1929-2024), her brothers Ricky (1950-1953) and Tony (1953-2013), her son Matthew (1983-2021), and her daughter Brittany (1985-2022). She is survived by her sons, Bryan and Christopher. She was a loving grandmother to Callista, Gavin, Hilda, Madison, Kelsey, Libi, and Elena, all of whom will cherish their memories of her.
Professionally, Vicki was a dedicated respiratory therapist before her retirement. Her caring nature and commitment to helping others defined both her work and personal life. Though she faced long-term addiction issues stemming from narcotic treatments for arthritis, Vicki’s strength and resilience shone through, and her family remembers her as a woman of great character.
Vicki was known for her sharp sense of humor, her openness, and her non-judgmental approach to life. Her warmth and willingness to accept others as they were left an indelible mark on everyone who crossed her path. Her memory will live on in her family and friends, who take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her mother Joyce, her children Matthew and Brittany, and her brothers Ricky and Tony.
