Tyler Jabari Fairley's Obituary
The sun rose upon Tyler’s life on January 30, 2004 in Pensacola, Florida. Tyler attended Douglas County High School (“DCHS”) and would have entered this school year as a senior. He was an All-Region offensive lineman at DCHS and was a two-year starter, and made the All-Region 5-6A second team as a junior. Tyler began playing football in 2011 with the Douglas County Tiger Cubs and went on to play with Stewart Middle School. During the summer months, he would play AAU basketball with the NOLA Hurricanes under the leadership of Coach Greg LaSalle. Tyler aspired to attend college, play college ball, and play pro ball.
Tyler was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Minnie Kidd Mitchell; paternal great grandmother, Dorothy Fairley; paternal grandmother Barbara Findley; paternal grandfather, Walter Findley; and uncle, Jeffrey Fairley.
He leaves to treasure his memories: mother and stepfather, Latosha Sullivan Nettles and Larry Nettles; father, Germaine Fairley (Dallas, TX); sisters, Gasmin Fairley (Sandy Springs), Destiny and Magesty Fairley (Pensacola, FL); nephew, Jonarious Grimsley (Pensacola, FL); maternal grandmother, Kathy Kidd; paternal grandfather, Walter (Donna) Sullivan (Houston, TX); uncles, Christopher Kidd (Atlanta), Deon Sullivan (Houston, TX); aunts, Bahara and Amanda Sullivan (Houston, TX); great uncles, Kenneth (Carol) Kidd, Rufus and Ronnie Fairley, (Pensacola, FL), Michael Cunningham, Jr. (Minot, ND), Jewell Davenport (Newnan); Timothy Fairley (Atlanta); great aunts, Alexa Morgan, Marie Johnson, Rayshell Fairley (Pensacola, FL), Johnnie Fairley (Jacksonville, FL); great great aunt, Daisy Boyd (Lithonia); special cousins, Tonjas and Tahj Powell and Adrian Cowell (Pensacola, FL); godfather, Roscoe Kidd (Pensacola, FL) and a host of cousins, special friends, DCHS teammates and coaches.
The Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., at Douglas County High School Auditorium, 8705 Campbellton Street, Douglasville, Georgia. Flowers may be sent to 7348 Stone Bluff Drive, Douglasville, Georgia 30134.
