Tom Bennett's Obituary
The man. The heart. The comic.
Thomas Lee Bennett (58) walked into Heaven on November 2, 2016. Cancer knocked on his door several times over 29-years, but in his words, he was “a resilient son of a [gun].”
Tom deeply loved his kids (Perry & Jodie), bringing a laugh to his friends or anyone who happened to be standing nearby, loving on cats and dogs, a beautiful day fishing on the lake, tearing up 18 holes, flying RC aircraft, making the perfect cup of coffee, BBQ, and sweet tea. Not necessarily in that order. He hated cucumbers and inequity. Not necessarily in that order, either.
Because Tom called Georgia and North Carolina home, services will be held at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Winston-Salem on November 5th at 2pm; and at Davis-Struempf Chapel in Austell, Georgia on November 20th at 2pm. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM before the service.
