Thomas Harold Muehlberg 1961 - 2025
Thomas Harold Muehlberg, of Panama City, Florida, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Born in 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri, Tom lived a life marked by quiet strength, steadfast devotion, and deep love for his family.
He also shared a profound and enduring love with his beloved wife, Connie. A proud United States Air Force veteran, Tom honorably served his country for 20 years before beginning his second career with Boeing. He carried the discipline, loyalty, and integrity of military service into every aspect of his life.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marie Muehlberg; his sister, Andrea Walston; his brother-in-law, Chris Ashby; and his wife, Connie, whom he missed dearly.
He is survived by his siblings, Robert and Queenie Muehlberg, Richard and Robin Muehlberg, Madonna and John Bogacki, and Mary Ashby, as well as by his late sister Andrea’s husband, Craig Walston. He is also survived by cherished nieces and nephews Stephanie Pfingsten, Antonia Daly, Nicole Santacruz, and John A. Bogacki.
He is also survived by his step-children: Hollie and Kenny Ayers, George and Melissa Hartmann, Jamie and Chance Mooney, and Skyler Scheffler. Known affectionately as “Pops,” Tom was a devoted grandfather to Max and Oliver Ayers, Lincoln and Livvy Hartmann, and Ellina “Ellie” Mooney, each of whom adored him deeply. His presence, patience, and warmth will be carried forward in their memories.
Tom’s life will be celebrated alongside his wife Connie’s at a joint memorial on Saturday, November 29th, from 2 - 4 p.m. at Camp Helen State Park in Panama City, Florida. His final committal service with full military honors will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 29th, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations toward a memorial brick at VFW Post 8205, where Tom and Connie were long-time members and dedicated to supporting veterans and their community. Contributions exceeding the brick cost will be donated to the post in their honor. Donations may be delivered in cash or by check made out to VFW Post 8205 and mailed to 735 S Hwy 22 A, Panama City, FL 32404. Please include “Muehlberg Brick” in the memo.
