Thomas "Billy" Glass' Obituary
Thomas "Billy" Glass, age 81, of Powder Springs passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Jeneal Glass; as well as other extended family members.
A long-time resident of Powder Springs, he attended South Cobb High School and graduated in 1960. After high school, Billy enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict.
Upon returning home from service, he ventured into many different business opportunities. As an entrepreneur, one of his many ventures was taking care of the construction and operation of Corner Plaza in Marietta.
Quietly, Billy frequently took care of others in their times of need.
Billy was an avid golfer; he enjoyed playing with friends and proudly displayed his awards and trophies he received from participating in tournaments. Billy loved to travel, dine out, and was a huge sports fan.
He is survived by his loving caregivers and a host of special friends.
Funeral services will be held Thurday, September 1, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. Visiting hours will be held at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service.
