Terry Lee Hardy's Obituary
Terry Lee Hardy, age 75 of Austell passed away January 6, 2026.
Terry was born in Atlanta, Georgia to William and Annie Belle Hardy. He was a hardworking electrician who worked for the IBEW 613 union. He had an intense love for tools and would spend every weekend at the flea market looking for the next best tool to work with. Terry also loved to coach the girls’ softball teams at Sweetwater Park.
Terry never met a stranger. He gave the tightest hugs and the best handshakes. He was known for his tall tales and his loud, infectious laugh. He had many endearing nicknames, including “Pop” and “Round Man”. Terry had a major sweet tooth he would satisfy with his favorite treats – sweet tea, Coca-Cola, and milkshakes. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed dearly.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Bell Hardy, and his step-mother, Gail Hardy.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 49 years, Teresa Hardy; father, William Hardy; daughter, Jennifer Hardy and her children, Parker (5) and Archer (2); daughter, Kristin Malone (Jared) and their children, Callie (17) and Caroline (12); step-brothers, Lee Craig and Robert Craig; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service honoring Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Farren Roper officiating. Interment will follow the service at Powder Springs City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation before the service from 12-2 PM.
