Taylor Lee McCravy's Obituary
Taylor Lee McCravy, age 29, of Mableton passed away September 23, 2022. Taylor grew up in the Mableton area and attended Trinity Chapel, Colonial Hills, and later, Hearts Academy of Excellence.
Taylor brought sunshine to the room with his big smile. He had a very giving heart and would always put others before himself. Ever since he was small, he had a knack for taking things apart and putting them back together. This was a talent he maintained through life and had always enjoyed working with his hands. In his free time, he loved playing guitar and drums. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend whose light will be dearly missed.
Taylor was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Loretta McCravy and Richard McCravy, Sr; and maternal grandfather, Charles “Willie” Williamson.
He is survived by his parents, Ricky and Karen McCravy of Mableton; brother, Brandon McCravy of Santa Clarita, CA; grandmother, Margaret Williamson of Austell; aunts, Karla Ayers (husband, Chris) of Austell and Robin Newton (husband, Mark) of Powder Springs; cousins, Danielle, Katelyn, Chelsea, Trevor, and Kristen; and many beloved extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 9th, 3:00 PM at Love Bridge Church in Austell with Pastor Jason Lumpkin officiating. The family will receive friends before the service starting at 2:00 PM and after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Taylor’s name be made to the Amen Clinic’s Change Your Brain Foundation at www.changeyourbrain.org or your local Celebrate Recovery Group (some local groups can be found through Westgate Church in Powder Springs, Praise Tabernacle in Powder Springs, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Hiram, or Elevate Christian Church in Hiram, among many others).
