Sylvia Ann King Loudermilk's Obituary
Sylvia Ann King Loudermilk, age 86, of Mableton passed away March 23, 2022. Sylvia was a longtime resident of Mableton and long-time member of Floyd Road Baptist Church. After she graduated from Mableton School, she was introduced to the love of her life, Albert, through her sister Joyce. Sylvia was a devoted mother to her four children, and spent much of her life taking them to sports events, canning, gardening, and sewing. In addition, she was the office manager at Vintage Mill Works in Atlanta for many years. She was also very active in her church community and enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School and women’s classes.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Albert E. Loudermilk; daughter, Connie Weeks; and siblings, Elsie, Joyce, and Jimmy King. She is survived by her children, Donnie Loudermilk (wife, Cherie) of Woodstock, Gary Loudermilk of Marietta, and Bruce Loudermilk of Dallas; grandchildren, Jason, Heather, Bo, Brad, Casey, Kyle, Tara, Brooke, and Megan; 14 great-grandchildren; and many beloved extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26th, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Keith Collins officiating. Private interment services will be held at Dickerson Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends of Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Sylvia was a proud kidney transplant survivor; in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials in Sylvia’s name be made to the Piedmont Transplant Institute at https://www.piedmont.org/transplant/transplant-home.
