Stiles Dean Stilley's Obituary
Stiles Dean Stilley, age 53, of Lithia Springs passed from this life on September 18, 2022.
Stiles grew up in the Norcross and Lawrenceville communities and attended Berkmar High School.
He was a talented carpenter who left his mark on beautiful homes throughout the Southeast and crafted magnificent art installations alongside his mother for fundraising events and exhibitions. Stiles had a generous heart and was faithful in his walk with the Lord despite his struggle through difficult times in his life. His special gift for sharing God’s word with those seeking comfort and courage was inspiring. Never one to tolerate a dull moment, from the time he was a little boy, he brought joy to all with his goofy sense of humor and amusing antics.
He was a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, cousin, nephew, and friend whose light was taken from him far too soon in life. Stiles was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald Paul and Iris Vivian Stilley; maternal grandparents, John Wesley Raymond Grace and Catherine Marie Robson Grace; parents Donald Ted Stilley and Juanita Suzette Grace Stilley; oldest son, Skylar Dean Stilley; and cousin, Jerome Peyton McCauley, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Madeline and Wesley Stilley; sisters Vivian Davis and Michele Arwood (husband, Bill); granddaughter Ricky Stilley; mother’s of his children Margaret Rainey and Patina Aaron; aunts Donna Parra (husband, Gustavo) and Myrtie Hucks (husband, James); cousins Celeste, Jennifer, Shawn, David, Donnie, Chad, Taylor, and Stevie; nephews Harley Davis and Hunter Davis; nephew Hinson Arwood and niece Aleks Arwood; and many other beloved extended family members and friends.
A joyful Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 15th at 11 AM in the chapel at Davis-Struempf Funeral home in Austell with officiant Tim Brown - a mentor and friend who walked with Stiles through his spiritual journey. The family will receive friends before the service starting at 10 AM.
Stiles loved creating beautiful experiences and doing flowers with his mother, so the family invites flowers for the Celebration of Life or donations to be made in his name to the Pebble Hill Plantation Garden Preservation Fund. Stiles will be interred in a private family service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.
