Stephen "Steve" Hampton's Obituary
Stephen “Steve” Robin Hampton, age 83 of Douglasville, Ga passed away July 22, 2022. Steve was a member of Central Baptist Church in Douglasville, Ga. and enjoyed volunteering with grounds committee group. He worked in sales at Wink Davis Equipment Company, Atlanta & Florida, and retired after 26 years of service. He was recognized with several top salesman achievement awards over his career.
Steve enjoyed outdoors and especially loved hunting with his sons, fishing, and gardening.
Steve is preceded in death by wife, Starry Ann Dupree Hampton; grandson, Jacob Hampton; and sister, Marie Brumbalow.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Linda Sexton Hampton, sons Robbie Hampton (Tammy), Todd Hampton (Janine) and Mark Hampton (Kim); brother Gary Hampton of Villa Rica; stepchildren Shelly Pollock of Grapevine, TX and Leslie Guerreri of Missoula, MT; grandchildren Joshua Hampton, Jessica Adkins, Johnny Hampton, Ashley Sammis and Lexi Dewberry. Steve enjoyed visits from his great-grandchildren Nora, Livi, Shep, Ida Jane and Calvin. Also, visits from step great-grandchildren Phoebe, Eli, Haley and Asher.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, August 2nd 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service. Interment will follow the service at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
