Shirley Jean Hall's Obituary
Shirley Jean Hall, age 86, of Clarkdale, passed away January 1, 2026.
Shirley was one of four children lovingly raised by Noah and Ruby Cotton. Her childhood was spent in Lithia Springs. Shortly after marrying the love of her life, Roy E. Hall, Sr., the two moved to Clarkdale to build their life together.
Shirley has been a member of Clarkdale Baptist Church since 1957.
Shirley spent many days speeding through word searches and watching Little House of the Prairie, MeTV, and all her beloved oldies. She found joy in spending time with her family and loved playing bingo. Shirley was a special person and a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed, including by her precious cat, Fancy.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roy E. Hall, Sr., and siblings, Joyce and Junior.
Shirley is survived by her children, Debra Kawczk (Dennis), Donna Hall, and Roy “Buddy” Hall, Jr. (Tami), all of Douglasville; sister, Barbara Hunter (Clyde) of Powder Springs; grandchildren, Andrea, Carla, Troy, Justin, and Shelton; 11 great-grandchildren; and her beloved extended family.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, January 5, from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
A funeral service honoring Shirley’s life will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM in Davis-Struempf Chapel.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Austell.
