Shirley Lee Carroll's Obituary
Shirley Lee Carroll, age 76, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away June 2, 2025.
Shirley was born to Elmond and Molly Rice in Austell, and grew up in the area. After marrying Larry Carroll, the two moved to Acworth, where she spent the rest of her days.
Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother who valued family time above all else. She adored having a quiet afternoon of watching her favorite soap operas and found joy in cooking meals that brought everyone together. Her cube steak and gravy, as well as her unforgettable hamburger steak with fries, became cherished family staples that will be dearly missed.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 35 years, Larry Carroll; and her three siblings, Rita, Virginia, and Linda.
She is survived by her children, Steven Carroll and Cody Carroll; grandchildren, Brandon, Brittney, and Julee; and great-grandchild, Sophia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
A funeral service honoring Shirley’s life will be held Friday, June 6, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel.
Interment will follow the service at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.
