Sherry Lee Shipman's Obituary
Sherry Lee Shipman, age 67 of Austell GA, passed away May 7, 2021. Her hobbies include Genealogy, home decorating with antiques, and family heirlooms. Sherry enjoyed reading biographies and loved her pet dogs. She was a loving mother who volunteered as a homeroom mother and would chaperone the field trips for her children. She also enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family and would trade recipes with her mother and children. Sherry enjoyed the simple things in life such as watching classical movies with her devoted husband, Chris; touring local historical homes, and visiting with her children and grandchildren.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Lila Hopping of Oakland, IA. She is survived by her husband, Chris Shipman of 22 years; sons, Jason (Debbie) Peters of Carlisle, IA and Matthew (Rachel) Peters of West Des Moines, IA; daughter, Heather (David) Lowry of Lithia Springs, GA; grandchildren, Justin, Elizabeth, Jacob, Madison, and Joseph; Brothers, Russell (Candy) Hopping of Oakland, IA and, Joel (Debbie) Hopping of Council Bluffs, IA.
Funeral Services will be in Oakland, IA with Rieken Vieth Funeral Home who will be in charge of the arrangements. https://www.riekenfuneralhome.com/
