Sherry Lynn Roberts' Obituary
Sherry Lynn Roberts, 61, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025. Born in 1963, in Tallapoosa, GA, Sherry was a lifelong Georgia native who brought light, laughter, and creativity to everyone who knew her.
Sherry was best known for her big personality, her generous heart, and her gift for making others feel seen and cared for. She began her career as a talented hairdresser and went on to own her own nail and tanning salon. Later in life, she dedicated herself to caring for others as a caregiver — a role that truly reflected her nurturing spirit.
She had a lifelong love for sports and cheer, and an even greater love for watching her son play baseball — never missing a game, always the loudest cheerleader in the stands. Being his biggest fan was one of her greatest joys.
Her passion for arts and crafts was unmatched, and her creative energy was present in everything she touched. Sherry also had a sharp wit and a one-of-a-kind sense of humor — always ready with a clever rhyme, like her classic: “Check yourself before you wreck yourself.”
Sherry is survived by her son, Nicholas Andrews; her daughter-in-law, Taylor Andrews; and her two nephews, Josh and Scotty Roberts. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who were lucky enough to know her.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Tidwell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service from 1-2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Sherry’s memory by making something with your hands — a craft, a card, a joke in rhyme — and sharing it with someone you love.
