Sharron Kay Duff's Obituary
Sharron Kay Moore Duff was born in Galena, Stone County, Missouri in 1932 to Lowell R. Moore and Lucille M. (Whiteleather) Moore. She married Fletcher J. Duff on August 16, 1958 and was his wife until his death on July 7, 1999.
Sharron is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Marshall, Gregory, and Stephani (Greg’s wife); brother, Winfield Moore; two sisters, Bevy Donegan and Sharan Davis; brother, Steve Howe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharron was employed for 18 years by the Presbyterian Church USA in Missionary Support Services, and was a member of Macland Presbyterian Church.
Sharron led a full life for 94 years. She had a lifelong interest in travel, whether around the block or around the world, and resided in twelve US states, including Hawaii when it became a state, and two foreign countries: Singapore and Tahiti. She felt fortunate to have visited numerous countries on six continents and most of the United States. An avid reader who was never without a book or magazine at hand, she also enjoyed playing golf and attained two Holes in One, of which she said was mostly luck, “but I was on the right tee and aimed at the hole”. Additionally, Sharron was a happy beachcomber who collected rocks, shells, and driftwood and enjoyed playing Mah Jong and cards with her many friends at the senior center. She was generous and helpful to her family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
