Sara Glore Payne's Obituary
Sara Glore Payne, age 95 of Mableton passed away June 27,2024.
Sara was a long-time member of Mableton First Baptist Church where she played piano and organ for many years.
Her greatest passions were her music, her church, her beloved friends, Nell and Jake Lee, Ruby and Pat Patterson, Betty and Bill Willoughby. Without fail they enjoyed eating out together every Friday night for decades, and also shared extraordinary travels, both foreign and domestic.
She loved tending her beautiful flowers, sewing, reading, and spending time with family. In the last few months, it was difficult for her to accept her limitations and declining health as there was so much more she was determined to do. Rest in peace and glory, our beloved Mother.
Sara was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jesse A. Payne.
She is survived by her children, Jessica Payne Beasley of Port St. Joe, Florida; David Payne of Mableton Georgia; Lynn Payne Mosley of Grayson, Georgia; grandchildren, Christina Carr, Jeremiah Beasley, Daniel Payne, Melanie Webb, Laura Caputo, Amy Garber, and Hunter Mosley. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 1, 2024, 10:00 AM at Mableton First Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Childers officiating.
The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday from 5:00PM-8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
