Sabrina Roberts' Obituary
Ms. Sabrina Roberts was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 31, 1957, to Tommy Roberts and the late Marie Taylor. She attended Jane Adams school for fashion design. She worked as a master tailor for over 40 years. She could design and make anything from a custom men’s suit to a couture wedding dress.
Sabrina symbolized her dedication to Jehovah by water baptism in 1970 at the age of thirteen. She began her spiritual journey by listening in on her mother’s Bible study. When her mother was no longer interested in studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses, Sabrina continued her study. At the age of thirteen she was so convinced this was the truth, she dedicated her life to Jehovah. Some of her fondness memories were serving Jehovah as a youth, maintaining her integrity throughout her high school years and attending conventions and assemblies. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah and she proved her integrity by strictly obeying Jehovah’s commandments even in the face of death. She loved attending meetings so much that when her energy failed, she would get dressed for the meetings at 9am in the morning to make sure she didn’t miss a meeting. She set a fine example of faith and integrity.
In 1975 she married Larry Brown. They began their married life together in Jacksonville, Florida where her three children were born. Her oldest daughter Tiffany, her second daughter Tory and her youngest son Larry. Sabrina loved her family dearly. She was a mom who was easy to talk to and she never overreacted. She was very optimistic and she always encouraged others to see the bright side of a situation. She would often adopt younger ones in the congregation and called them her children.
Sabrina was a loving grandmother as well. Her oldest grandchild Kendra says “I’ll miss her family stories and fashion sense. Her second grandchild says “I’ll miss watching her smile and eating with her. I will also miss her hugs.” Her third grandchild Nene says “I’ll miss her smile.” Her fourth grandchild Laila says “I miss when she used to tell me Bible stories, watching music videos and cooking breakfast with her. Her fifth grandchild Landen says “l’ll miss being with her and seeing her smile, helping her cook and everything about her. Her youngest grandchild Legend, will miss her big hugs.
Surviving her is her father Tommy Roberts, step-mother Carol Roberts, daughter Tiffany Brown, daughter Tory Crum (Adrian), son Larry Brown (LaToya), grandchildren Takendra Thomas, Torin Thomas, Tenia Thomas, Laila Brown, Landen Brown, and Legend Brown.
