Sabra "Virginia" Farmer's Obituary
Sabra “Virginia” Farmer, age 71, of Dallas passed away February 1, 2020. Virginia was a long-time employee of CVS Pharmacies, and retired from there after 35 years of service. She was also a proud member of the Women’s Auxiliary of American Legion Post 264. Her favorite pastime, above all else, was supporting her beloved grandchildren in all of their endeavors.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Charles Farmer; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Walter Mealor; brothers, Johnny and Joe Shell. She is survived by her children, Carol Downey of Lawrenceville, David (Karlyn) Gibbs of Stone Mountain, Sandy (Zack) Cox of Maysville, Daniel (Ashley) Gibbs of Hiram, and Doug Gibbs of Dallas; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Courtney, Brittney, Kaylee, Stephen, Jake, Brett, Cole, Seth, Maggie, and Carrie; and siblings, Tommy (Winfred) Massey, Ivadale (Jack) Olinger, Sylvia (Rod) Mann, Victoria Copelend, Gene (Brenda) Bohannon, and Irene Bowling.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 8th, 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Adair, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Virginia’s name to the Women’s Auxiliary of American Legion Post 264, 6251 Ivey Rd SE, Mableton, GA 30126.
