Russell Pierce Harp's Obituary
Russell Pierce Harp, age 86 of Lithia Springs passed away April 19, 2020. Russell was a long-time member of Unity Baptist Church in Austell. Russell and his wife, Betty were very active within the church and attended many gatherings. Russell and Betty were avid square dancers, and toured different cities with their group.
Russell was a true craftsman, and collected a lot of tools over the years. He especially enjoyed woodworking and making furniture. Russell will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Jane Harp; parents, James and Oma Harp; brother, Herchell T. Harp; sister, Henrietta Jenkins; brother, Henry Harp.
Surviving to mourn his passing is son, James (Paula Yvonne) Harp of Powder Springs; grandson, Shawn (Victoria) Harp of Acworth; great-grandchildren, Connor and Grant Harp; sister, Mamie N. Garrett of Cumming, GA.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday 2:00 PM at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Chaffin officiating.
