Russ Robbins' Obituary
Earl Russell "Russ" Robbins, 27, of Powder Springs, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Russ was born in Lithia Springs, raised in Powder Springs, and graduated from McEachern High School in 2001. He was employed with R.D. Dunn Aluminum Products as he pursued his college degree. Russ received a degree in Exercise and Health Science from Kennesaw State University. With his degree, Russ became General Manager of Workout Anytime in Kennesaw and Marietta. Russ was excellent at baseball at McEachern, loved playing ALTA tennis; enjoyed golf with his buddies, and his favorite was spending quality time with family and close friends. A loving husband, a wonderful son, a faithful friend, and a man who was a blessing to all who knew him; Russ has given us precious memories that will always bring comfort and happiness to our hearts. He was a gentle giant and now he is a new Angel in God's Army. He is survived by his loving wife, Katie (Desaulniers) Robbins;
parents, Tommy and Jessie (Dunn) Robbins; sisters, Kim (Robbins) Sasser and Kellie Robbins;
brother, Tyler Robbins; grandmother, Eva(Swafford)Robbins; beloved in-laws, Joel and Lisa Desaulniers, John Desaulniers, Shane and Lauri (Desaulniers) Bonilla; grandmother, Vera Desaulnier; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday 5-9PM and Saturday 2-4 and 6-8PM. Funeral service will be held at Roswell Street Baptist Church on Sunday, May 15th at 4PM. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Cemetery.
