Ruby Marvene Phillips' Obituary
Ruby "Marvene" Phillips age 77 of Lithia Springs passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Prior to declining health, she was a devoted member of Floyd Road Baptist Church. She went to McEachern School and was a resident of Lost Mountain area until she married. Marvene took care of many children in her home for several years; she loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Phillips. Survivors include her son, Greg Phillips; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna (Lamar) Copeland, Kathy (Johnny) Shelton; sister, Jeannette Echols; 6 grandchildren, Adam Phillips and Kim Phillips, Brittney Davenport, Christopher Copeland, Dustin Copeland and Jarret Shelton; 5 Great Grandchildren, A.J. Phillips, Aiden Phillips, Jada, Zoey and Lara Davenport and her best friend, Polly Mize. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Rev. Keith Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
