RD, Ron, Grumpy, old man - Gosh, you had a lot of names for such a big ol' teddy bear! You were my birthday buddy - mine on May 18th and yours on the 19th (you are one day and one year older than me) and every year for a long time, you called me on my birthday. I always looked forward to your call, but one year, you missed it and I called and fussed at you for forgetting to call me! I still have the beautiful butterfly box that you made for me - the butterfly is that same brilliant blue and looks as good as the day I brought it home. I will treasure that forever because I can just see your hand prints all over it and the painstaking detail you took to make sure it was perfect. Ron, I don't worry about where you are - I know you are with God in heaven. You know how I know? It was the undying love you showed your family & friends, especially, your Mother in her last years. I remember how you took her fruit - like apples and how you peeled and cut them up for her before you took them to her. She doesn't have to wait for you anymore. She has no doubt already said hello and you two will have a wonderful time with no disease and no worries. Ron, I will always cherish our friendship and the crazy times we had on the job sites. You and Ken Smith worked on one of the first job sites that I delivered payroll to when I worked for Realty Development - that's going way back to 1982 or 83 when we were all just babies! Take care my friend and rest in peace! p.s. Your little buddy, Bobby also said to tell you hello. He's not much on writing or talking but he loved you. You, Ken and Jon finished making a man out of him after he got out of the US Navy and joined the wild gang at "Ten Gun Hunting Club". He always enjoyed stopping by your home when he worked near Austell. Sometimes, he came by and you weren't there, but that never stopped him from trying the next day. -Phyllis Allison
