Ronald William Mills' Obituary
Ronald William Mills, age 74, of Smyrna passed away surrounded by his family November 27, 2023.
Ronald was born in Augusta, GA to Cleveland Mills, Sr. and Iola Mills (née Willis). He received his high school diploma from Immaculate Conception Catholic School, and shortly after, was drafted into the Vietnam War. Ronald served his country for three years, most of which were spent aboard naval ships and submarines. During his military service, Ronald was awarded his Bachelors from Saint Leo University.
After Ronald was discharged from the military, he moved to Atlanta and began a successful career at AT&T. He climbed to the ranks of manager. AT&T saw great promise in him and they put him through their Executive training program, through which he gained his Masters in Business Administration from Georgia Tech. Ronald was very proud of his job, and retired from AT&T with 25 years of service.
He had always loved to tinker, a joy that was fostered through becoming a Certified Electrician in the Navy. His passion for tools and fixing things manifested into a second career as a handy man. Ronald always had the right tool for the job and was fascinated by how things work. He also loved to travel and try new cuisines. But most importantly, he loved his family, and was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jacqueline Miller and Cleveland Mills, Jr; son-in-law, Isaac Biwott.
