Roma Sloan Fleming's Obituary
Mrs. Roma Sloan Fleming, age 95, of Lithia Springs passed away November 8, 2019. Roma was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Panama City, FL, and also a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in recent years. Roma was an avid gardener who also loved to cook. For 33 years, she volunteered her and time and talents to The Baptist Center in Panama City.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Fleming; brother, Wilton Eugene Sloan; and sister, Berniece Sloan Carter. Surviving is her son, Nelson Fleming; sister, Mary Ola Van Atta; and sister-in-laws, Pauline Fleming and Betty Fleming.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 10, 3:00 PM at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church with Dr. Randal Whitten officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM before the service.
A funeral service in her hometown of Panama City will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 214 Airport Road, Panama City, FL 32405 on Wednesday, November 13, at 11:00 AM, with a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 before the service. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Panama City, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund, 561 Veterans Memorial Hwy SE, Mableton, GA 30126.
