Roland Marceau's Obituary
Marceau,Roland L., age 77, of Powder Springs,GA passed away Tuesday,February 1 at
Wellstar Cobb Hospital. He was the husband of Constance (McDonnell) Marceau and the son of the late Wilfred and Alice (Blanchard) Marceau. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a communicant of St. John's Church in Slatersville and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Born in North Smithfield, he had great pride in his community and was a member of the Town Council for eight years. He was employed by H&H Tool in Forestdale and later became an industrial salesman. He was an antiques enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and camping. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Deborah Bacon of Lincoln and Diane Vadenais of North Smithfield, RI two stepdaughters, Sandy Koontz of Georgia and Susan McDonnell of Florida, a brother, Robert, of North Smithfield, a sister, Irene Brassard of Florida, ten grandchildren,two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
