Robert Stanley Massey's Obituary
Robert Stanley “Stan the man # 22” Massey, age 67 of Villa Rica passed away December 13, 2020.
He was a loving husband, son, father and brother.
Stan was a member of Concord Baptist Church and was an avid racer all of his life. He was inducted into both the Georgia and National Dirt Track Hall of Fame.
Stan was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Massey and daughter, Stephanie Dempsey.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Massey; mother, Drew Massey; daughter, Stacy Massey; bonus boys, Chris (Lauren) Pugh and Stephen (Dana) Pugh; sisters, Debbie Daniel and Sharon Pennington; brother, Eddie Massey; bonus brothers, Danny Stewart, Duaine “Critter” Crider and Billy Eubanks; grandchildren, Landon, Carson, Camden and Kylie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his loving friend, Harley.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 23, 2020, 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Barton and Rev. Richard Wilkins officiating.
Anyone wishing to view the service virtually may do so via a livestream video that will appear on Mr. Massey's page at the beginning of service time.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 PM as well as Wednesday from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM prior to the service.
Drivers of Taylor Transport, Kenneth Mincey and Billy Eubanks as Honorary Pallbearers. Active Pallbearers will include Danny Stewart, Duaine “Critter” Crider, Jimmy Dunn, Eddie Massey, Chris Pugh and Rickey Cole.
Interment will follow at West Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
In keeping with current precautions due to COVID-19, we are requesting that anyone visiting wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
