Robert "Bob" Roland Robinson's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Roland Robinson, age 86, of Hiram passed away February 28, 2017. Robert retired from Lockheed after over 40 years of service. He served in the Air Force for 18 months and was stationed in Alexandria, LA. In 1953, Robert married Mary Margaret Mathews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Carroll (Nancy) of St. Petersburg, FL. He is survived by his wife; five children, Robert (Stephanie Low) Roland Robinson Jr. of Albany, OR, Mary Anne (Ken) Vinson of Dawsonville, Michael Joseph (Leslie) Robinson of Temple, Matthew E. (Cara) Robinson of Fort Collins, CO, and Robin Marie (Steve) Smith of Hiram; thirteen grandchildren, Donley, Chris, Ross, Amanda, Marie, Sarah, Joseph, Clare, Lillie, Elijah, Luke Roland, Katie and Megan; with one great grandchild due in June; brother, William E. Robinson of Smyrna; and sister, Ann (Michael) Duncan of Blacksburg, VA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 11:00 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Father Mark Thomas and Father Ignacious Morales officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service. Luncheon to follow. Interment, Monday, March 6, 9:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery.
