Richard Joseph Conway's Obituary
Richard Joseph Conway, age 93 of Carrollton passed away April 24, 2016. Richard received his education from Columbia and Princeton Universities. He was a former member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church for 56 years. Richard was an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of Knights of Columbus, and an avid Atlanta sports fan.
Richard is survived by his wife, Ann McGouirk Conway of Carrollton; children, Patrick Conway of Marietta; Carol Garmon of Carrollton; Ellen Phibbs of Powder Springs; Father John of Blue Ridge; Margaret Reed of Alexandria Bay, NY; nephew, Richard Conway of San Mateo. CA; grandchildren, Amy Vora, Phillip Reed, Justin Phibbs,Tyler Phibbs, Jake Phibbs, Matthew Reed, and Austin Reed; 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Morrow, Rev. John Conway, and Father Rafael Carballo officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Davis- Struempf Funeral Home with The Vigil Service at 7:30 PM.
