Rev. Bobby Hunter's Obituary
Rev. Bobby Hunter, age 76 of Powder Springs, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009. Rev. Hunter was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church and the former pastor of both Revival Baptist Church and Harmony Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Winnie Hunter; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Bob Juray of Acworth, Gail and Donnie Ivey of Douglasville, Debbie and Billy Payne of Dallas, Tammy and Terry Gillespie of Douglasville, Sheila and Norm Heppner of Powder Springs, and Stacy and Steve Pope of Rockmart; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Darrell Hunter of Powder Springs, and Billy Hunter of Centre, AL; sisters, Lucille England of Douglasville, Frankie Westbrook of Hiram, and Christine Kupfer of Tyrone. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Revival Baptist Church in Hiram with Rev. Johnny Ivey, Rev. Nathan Knight, and Rev. Darrell Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Powder Springs Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
