Raymond Jack Moody's Obituary
Raymond Jack Moody, age 85, of Austell passed away September 12, 2020.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Raymond was a long-time member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and loved his church. He was an all-around family man and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Raymond was a creative soul who loved to craft and invent. He could turn everyday items into something special; he was even able to turn leaves into birds! Raymond looked forward to hunting and fishing trips with his family, and to spending time by the lake. He was a devoted husband of 55 years to Arlene, and a loving father to his four children. Described as a sweet soul and a truly positive person, his family will cherish his memory forever.
Raymond was preceded in death by his loving wife, Arlene Shead Moody; son, John Marion Huggins; and daughter, Jeri Sue Huggins. He is survived by his son, Danny (Dona) Huggins of Marietta; daughter, Andrea (Neil) Moody Parham of Acworth; grandchildren, Jennifer, Katie, Jason, and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, Dakota, Haley, Danielle, Hannah, Chase, Lillie, and Will; siblings, Robert, Doris, Sam, and Beverly; and many beloved extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 16th, 11:00 am at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church with Dr. Randal Whitten officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund, 561 Veterans Memorial Hwy SE, Mableton, GA 30126.
