Farewell to a good railroad friend for many good years.
I learned a great deal about railroading from Ralph ‘Salty’.
He was a hard worker that loved and understood railroading; I gained much from his experience as a trainman.
We worked together as Yardmaster and Car Retarder Operators where I had the privilege to teach him a few tricks as car retarder operator when he (cubbed) trained with me.
I always enjoyed being around him for every time that I was around him I always learned something new.
Without any superficial motive I can honestly say that I had a great pleasure in knowing such a man as Ralph (Salty) Morton.
It saddens me to know that a good friend has passed away and I will miss him.
My condolences to his grieving family for I truly empathize with their loss.
Till we meet again my friend.##imported-begin##Gus J. Vasquez##imported-end##
