Phoebe Ann Tillman's Obituary
Phoebe Ann Tillman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, left us peacefully in the early hours of April 5, 2026. She was 90 years old.
Phoebe was born to Lewis Henley Camp and Daisy Mae Williams Camp in Atlanta, GA. She was a long-time resident of Cobb County. She was a treasured member of Powder Springs First Baptist Church for over 50 years.
With a head for detail and figures, Phoebe found her strength in bookkeeping. Outside of her professional life, she loved to read, and in her earlier years, roller skating. She enjoyed the beauty of nature while traveling all over the United States via motorcycle. Fond memories were made on trips with her family and friends.
Phoebe is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Guy Gordon Tillman; sister, Judy Tate; and brother, Stan Camp.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Tillman (Carol) of Warner Robins, Cheryl Tillman Monroe of Powder Springs, Daniel Tillman (Deborah) of Dallas, and Cindy Land (Gordon) of Dallas; grandchildren, Joseph Tillman (Carrie), Jessica Clay (Brad), Eric Daniel Monroe (Amanda), Jennifer Bacon (Evan), Patrick Land, and Austin Tillman Land; great-grandchildren, Will, Sophia, Cooper, Phoebe, Phoenix, and Joey; along with many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service honoring Phoebe’s life will be held Monday, April 13, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Mike Woods and Rev. Alan Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.
A committal service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Friday, May 1st, 2:30 PM. Anyone wishing to attend the committal service will need to arrive at Georgia National by 2:15 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials in Phoebe’s name be made to Powder Springs First Baptist Church at https://www.fbcps.org/
