Peggy Lovern Smith's Obituary
Peggy Lovern Smith, age 75 of Lithia Springs passed away March 9, 2015. Born October 15, 1939 in Hartwell Georgia to William E and Burdell Bobo Lovern. A 1957 graduate of Hart County High School in Hartwell and a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
She was a former owner of Tommy and Peggy’s Coffee Shop in Austell GA and a former owner of Smith Sanitation, Lithia Springs, Georgia. She is Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas (Tommy) R. Smith; brothers, Julian and Lucille H. Lovern; Rev. Loyd E. Lovern;sisters, Betty Ruth and Furman Boleman; Nora Faye and Larry Sanders; great-granddaughter, Kerra Nicole Smith.
Survived by her children, Jeffrey and Michelle Smith of Heflin, Alabama; Todd and Valarie Smith of Douglasville; Karen and Bruce Cooper of Douglasville; Kendall Smith of Lithia Springs; Steve and Christy Smith of Villa Rica ; nine grandchildren: Zane and Tayha Smith of Villa Rica; Cory Smith of Douglasville; Danielle and Bryan Day of Douglasville; Ashely and Tim Cheatwood of Tucson, AZ; Kayla and Chase Cooper of Douglasville; Malerie Smith of Lithia Springs; Gage and Gaby Smith of Villa Rica; sister-in-law, Ruth Lovern of Jasper; Seven Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 2:00 PM at Davis- Struempf Chapel with Pastor Tony Samples officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are with Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, Austell www.davisstruempf.com
