Patricia Lou Davis' Obituary
Patricia Lou Davis, age 86, of Austell passed away December 29, 2023.
Patricia was born to Ralph Eugene Harris and Ruby Louise Harris (neé Moore) in Dallas, GA and grew up in the Paulding and Cobb County areas. Patricia was a long-time member of Clarkdale First Baptist Church and retired from Food Service with Cobb County School System.
Patricia left an indelible mark on her community with her skills in sewing and baking. She had a remarkable talent and patience for sewing. From costumes for little ones, to cheerleading outfits, to wedding dresses, Patricia’s talent helped many people throughout their lives. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence will be dearly missed.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Ralph Davis; brothers, James Harris and Marion Harris; and sister, Lennis Burnley.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Sheila Mashburn and husband, Allen of Austell, Tony Boles and wife, Michelle of Temple, Lisa Saxon and husband, Sid of Austell, and Jennie Bishop and husband, “Cowboy” Jim of Lithia Springs; 15 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and many beloved extended family and friends.
A service honoring Patricia’s life will be held Thursday, January 4th, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Tommy Vines officiating. Interment will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
