Orvil Spivey's Obituary
Orvil Spivey, age 84, formerly of Douglas, GA, passed away on February 7, 2013, at the Cobb Medical Center in Austell, GA, following an extended illness.
Mr. Spivey was born July 2, 1928 in Coffee County, GA, son of the late Mattie Lee Moore Spivey and Otis James Spivey.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Latrelle Spivey of Smyrna, GA, a son, Kenneth Spivey of Marietta GA and a daughter Deborah Medina, also of Smyrna. In addition; a daughter-in-law, Alice Spivey of Marietta, GA, a son-in-law, Jesse Medina, Jr. of Smyrna, and two granddaughters, Juliette Medina Assaf and Aubrey Lin Spivey.
Mr. Spivey was an Army veteran who served in Germany during the Korean War era. He was retired from the Owens-Illinois Glass Company.
Mr. and Mrs. Spivey were members of the Morrow Church of God for many years, and more recently the Connection Pointe Church of God in Austell.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Connection Pointe Church of God.
