Mildred Maxwell's Obituary
Mrs. Mildred Fowler Maxwell, age 70 of Carrollton, passed away August 17, 2011. Mildred, a native of Cobb County, served side-by-side with her husband in the ministry for over forty years and was member and ‘First Lady’ of Newnan Family Worship Center. She was also a homemaker and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Preceding her in death are her parents, Amos & Estelle Fowler; parent-in-laws, Clifton & Eula Maxwell; sister, Patricia DeAngelis; and brother-in-law, Cecil Maxwell. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Rev. Lindsay Maxwell; sons & daughters-in-law, Ronald & Angie Maxwell of Lithia Springs, Darrell & Marla Maxwell of Douglasville; grandchildren, Harrison, Jamison, & Darren Maxwell, Kesha & Matthew Bayer, Corinne Maxwell, and Savannah Tatum great-grandson, Logan Maxwell; sister, Renea Conlon of Douglasville; many nieces and nephews, and a beloved church family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Greg Morris and Rev. Harold Jones will officiate and Harrison Maxwell, Billy Maxwell, Jamison Maxwell, Randall Maxwell, Darren Maxwell, and Matthew Bayer will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
