Michael Joseph Griffin's Obituary
Michael Joseph Griffin, of Adairsville, beloved husband, father, and G Diddy, left us January 15, 2026. He was 67 years old.
Mike was born to Lawrence Griffin and Florence Griffin (née Jackson) at Fort McPherson in Atlanta, GA.
His joys were his family, his grandbabies, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Mike made many memories and friends coaching and umpiring girls’ softball.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his beloved cousin, Angela Jo Quirke.
Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy T. Griffin; children, Dana White (Kevin) of Temple and Missy Black (Justin) of Acworth; siblings, Larry Griffin (Nancy) of Social Circle, Angie Griffin of Atlanta, and Margaret Griffin of Atlanta; grandchildren, Devin (Charlette), Mitchell (Chelsea), Caitlin, Mason, and Kamryn; great-grandchildren, Adi Rose, Aubree E., Aubree K., Maci, Rayna, Brantley, Colton, Memphis, and Lil’ Kevin; and many beloved extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, January 20, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
A funeral service honoring Mike’s life will be held Wednesday, January 21, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel.
Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
In celebration of Mike’s love for the Georgia Bulldogs, the family kindly requests that attendees wear red and black in his honor.
