Melinda "Darlene" Perren's Obituary
Melinda “Darlene” Perren, age 69, of Austell, passed away January 4, 2026.
Darlene was a loyal and devoted person. Her life reflected deep faith and love for others. A very Godly woman, she lived her beliefs daily through kindness, generosity, and service to everyone she met.
Darlene had a special gift in the kitchen, and her cooking was loved by all who were fortunate enough to share a meal with her. Food was one of the many ways she showed her love.
She loved talking with people and truly never met a stranger. Friends were simply people she hadn’t spoken to yet.
She dedicated 20 years of her life working for J.P. Stevens & Company,
Above all, Darlene loved her family. They were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her love, faith, and welcoming spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew her.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Phillip Perren; daughter, Tonya Perren; brothers, Eddie, Steve, and Ronnie; sister, Marilyn.
She is survived by her mother, Sue Burdette; sister, Janice Canada; daughters, Kimberly (Peter) Miranda and Jennifer (J.J.) England; grandchildren, Chasity Wallace, Johnny England III, Benjamin Miranda, and Justin England.
She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Trey Bell and Madelyn Wallace; as well as many beloved extended family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Grant Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation before the service on Friday from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.
