Mary Whitfield's Obituary
Mary Alma Whitfield, age 84 of Mableton passed away August 12, 2016. Mary was the last surviving Charter Member of Oakdale Church of God. She was preceded in death by her mother, brother, sister, and son, Donnie Whitfield.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ralph Whitfield; children, Lane (Wanda) Whitfield of Powder Springs; Kay (Larry) Bradford of Marietta; Marty (Wendy) Whitfield of Powder Springs; Keith Whitfield of Mableton; Tony Whitfield of Lithia Springs. She is also survived by her sister, Ruby Greer of Hartwell, GA and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 PM at Davis- Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Downing and Rev. John Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 PM at Davis- Struempf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to www.thehopebox.org on behalf of Oakdale Church of God.
