Mary Stevens' Obituary
Mrs. Mary Lee Stevens, age 66 of Douglasville, passed away on November 25, 2009. She retired as cosmetologist and was a member of Church of God in Cartersville. Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her son, Vincent Stevens, Jr.; grand daughter, Carlee Essence Small; and brother, James Edward Briggs. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Stevens, Sr; daughters, Marjorie Stevens of Powder Springs, Trudy Small of Marietta, Carla Stevens McMillian of Douglasville, Paula Leverette of Villa Rica, Vicki Stevens-Winters of Villa Rica, Andrea Stevens of Villa Rica; sons, Donald Ray Stevens of Baton Rouge, LA, James Edward Stevens of Douglasville; 26 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brothers, David Briggs, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Carroll Joseph Briggs of Buford, and Louis H. Briggs of Baton Rouge. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Edward Matthews officiating. The family will recieve friends on Tuesday prior to the service from 12 noon to 1 PM at the funeral home.
